Presenter - David Shaw, HR Specialist (McLane Company, Inc.) - US Army, Purple Heart Veteran.
While employed with the Department of Navy in Maryland, David initiated their Veterans Hiring Initiative and created a Veterans Association, so veterans had an avenue to express concerns and successes. David will discuss what it means for veterans to transition from military back into the civilian world, ways for employers to help with the transition and how to retain veterans.
